People will have the opportunity to celebrate the holiday season all day long Saturday at Carols on Fifth Avenue.

“There will be food, fun and festivities to celebrate,” said Cynthia Craig, executive director of Main Street Zephyrhills, the sponsor of the event, in its ninth year.

Beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 9 p.m., Fifth Avenue will glitter and shine with the splendor of the season.

Especially this time of year, when the all-too-often-overlooked quadrant of Arizona becomes a recreational paradise, its balmy temperatures and stark beauty drawing visitors from all over the country.

International Education Week at Wichita State University Nov. 18-22 will be filled with contests, cultural performances, food and films. All activities are free and open to the public.

An international food court will be featured from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in 203 Rhatigan Student Center.
